Make a call or two - Discuss with your child how the basketball hoops or stage curtains will enrich their Cedar Mill experience, then practice asking for sponsoring. Help your child call friends and family to solicit help for these programs.
Dear Friends and Family,
It's that time of year again!
<CHILD's NAME> is running the fourth annual Cedar Mill Elementary Fun
Run ....which means this is an opportunity for you to help <HIM/HER>
continue to get all of the great bells and whistles offered by the Cedar Mill
PTC (parent teacher club).
What is it?
The fun run is a great health-oriented school-wide event. On October
10th and 11th, the kids run/jog/walk around a 1/8 mile track as many times
as they can in a 20 minute period. The kids do not compete against each other,
instead they set their personal goal with their parents and challenge themselves.
At each lap, parent volunteers mark off a lap. Results are tabulated and sent
home with the kids.
What does it pay for?
As our school is old, there is always a lot to do. Some of the plans for the
funds raised this year are:
How can I help?
You can help by sponsoring <CHILD'S NAME> either with a flat donation
or a per lap (more fun!) sponsorship. FYI - Last year, <CHILD'S NAME>
ran <X> laps!!!!
