Art Literacy has only been possible thanks to the
generous time and efforts of volunteers

Artist of the Month

Paul Cézanne... Grant Wood... René Magritte ... these are just a few of the artists our children will be introduced to this year as they study the theme of “shape, space and form” in Art Literacy.

Art Literacy is a district-wide “artist-in-a-box” program. It is run by volunteers and supplements the excellent art education our kids receive at Cedar Mill.

Five times a year parent volunteers present lessons on an artist, along with a related art project. You don’t have to be an artist or art historian to participate - we’ll give you all the training you need! Contact Colleen Lay if you would like to volunteer for Art Lit.
