Classroom Volunteering (check as many as you want)

ART LITERACY - Teach Art Literatrue Lessons 6 times a year in a classroom. Lessons, information and training provided.

ART VOLUNTEER - Assist Art Room Teacher in the Classroom.

BLC (Behavior Learning Center) - Assist with classroom needs, special projects, parties and/or field trips.

LIBRARY - Help for one hour per week with fun class visits to the library. Training will be provided!

READING TRAIN - (30 minutes, 1-2 times/week) Tutor small groups of children in guided reading. Training provided.

General Volunteering (check as many as you want)

WORK PARTIES - (Wed. mornings) Parents work at school to work on teachers' projects. May include cutting, pasting, copying, laminating, etc.

BOOK FAIR - (1 Fall, 1 Spring) Help set up book fair, assist children with selecting books.

HEALTH AND VISION SCREENING - (Oct) Assist with health checks and vision screening. Variable shifts.

LOST & FOUND - Help organize lost and found items. Sort and launder unclaimed items in preparation for sending them to the Beaverton Clothes Closet.

PICTURE DAY - (Fall) Help organize area, line up classes, comb hair, etc. Various shifts available.

PASSPORT CLUB - Group meets once a month to assist students in geography.

POSITIVE BEHAVIOR STORE - (2 Volunteers every Friday)

AUCTION CLASSROOM PROJECT COORDINATOR - Works with Ways & Means and students to make a project for Silent Auction

T-SHIRTS/SCHOOL SPIRIT ITEM COORDINATOR - Help coordinate t-shirt sales, etc.

SCIENCE KIT INVENTORY - (Aug & May) Help inventory school FOSS science kits.

WAYS & MEANS - (PTC Fundraising) Serve on committee to help coordinate fundraisers.

SPRING DANCE - (5th Grade Fundraiser) Help organize this event.

READ-A-THON - (Spring) Help organize read-a-thon and track classroom progress toward goals.

FAMILY DINNER NIGHTS - (Spaghetti dinner, Cinco de Mayo) Help serve dinners.

SCIENCE FAIR - (April) Help plan and execute annual school science fair.

STAFF APPRECIATION - (May) Help plan & implement various activities for staff.

CARNIVAL - (June) Volunteer needed to help put this fun event together!

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION - (March 14&16) Help introduce next year's Kindergarten class and parents to our school.

FIELD DAY - (June) Help with games, refreshments, etc..

INTERPRETER - Make phone calls when needed to families who do not speak English.

OTHER - Share career, special skills, interests, talents or hobbies (ex. Art, Music, Theater, Calligraphy, Computer, etc. Plese list.

ART NIGHT - (March) Help the Chair people w/this evening event.
